Finance Officer (Accounts Payable)

Loreto Kirribilli is a Catholic independent girls’ school with a strong tradition of academic excellence in the Mary Ward tradition. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer (Accounts Payable) to join our Finance Team.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional to contribute to a well-established organisation within a supportive and collaborative environment.

 

About the role...

 

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer (Accounts Payable) is responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of the School’s accounts payable function.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner

  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies

  • Prepare and process electronic payments

  • Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with internal controls

  • Assist with month-end processes and reporting

  • Respond professionally to internal and external finance enquiries

  • Support the Finance Team with general administrative tasks as required

 

About you...

 

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance Officer role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience within an education or not-for-profit environment is desirable but not essential.
  • A commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos and values of Loreto Kirribilli is essential.
