Administration Assistant - Performing Arts

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrative Assistant – Performing Arts to support the daily operations of our thriving Performing Arts Faculty (Music, Dance and Drama).

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Performing Arts, this role is central to the smooth operation of the Faculty, supporting both curriculum and co-curricular programs. You will work closely with staff, students and parents to ensure an efficient, professional and welcoming environment. Please note that this is a term-time position. 

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Performing Arts Faculty
  • Coordinating the Private Music Program, including student applications, tutor scheduling and room allocations
  • Maintaining records, databases and equipment inventory systems
  • Supporting the organisation of music, dance and drama events, concerts and performances
  • Liaising with tutors, staff and the wider school community
  • Managing communications, calendars and faculty documentation
  • Assisting with compliance requirements, including risk documentation and copyright obligations
  • Supporting event logistics, including occasional after-hours attendance

About You

You are a highly organised and detail-oriented administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a calm, solutions-focused approach to competing priorities.

 

You will demonstrate:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across a school community
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Experience supporting Performing Arts programs or an understanding of the Performing Arts environment (desirable)
  • A commitment to the ethos and values of a Catholic school

You will need to have the following qualifications:

  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a performing arts role
